 - after all its YOUR park!

The Friends Group held a Christmas Carol Concert in the Park for the whole community to celebrate the fact that we were successful in gaining over £100,000 for a play area, £15,000 for older peoples exercise equipment and also just to get into the Christmas Spirit!

The concert was in the Sports cage on Granada Park on Sunday 7th December between 2 and 3pm.

The event was centred around the children from both Dane Bank and Denton West End Primary and Junior Schools. Both schools sang traditional carols accompanied by the Adamson's Military Band.

The concert was in the Sports cage on Granada Park on Sunday 7th December between 2 and 3pm.

Santa took time out of his busy schedule to make a special appearance as did PC Panda, who accompanied PC Ian Buckley.

As well as Santa and PC Panda, we were joined by the Councillor Mike Smith, Councillor Dawson Lane and Deputy Mayor Brenda Warrington. It was nice to see teachers there from both schools and Mrs Pennington, the head teacher from Denton West End.

The day was brilliant, the sun was shining and the number of people that turned up was amazing, we couldnt have asked for anything else
