Do you have any more information about Granada Park and its history - if so, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you |
Granada Park came into existence in the 1950s. The original land belonged to a brickworks and most of what is now the park was a quarry. Part of the original land was also occupied by a farm (Waterloo Farm). The houses around the park were built in stages, some in 1930s until building was suspended during the War - building resumed again during the 1950s. The original entrance was on Granada Road and this led on to a public pathway, at the time to be developed as a route to Dane Bank School.
The information above was very kindly provided by the Denton History Society. The Friends Group are continuing to research the area which is Granada Park and will update this page as and when more facts are discovered! |
